A directional coupler and an RF(Radio Frequency) circuit module is provided to improve a coupling degree per unit area and to reduce characteristic fluctuation in the directional coupler by realizing high directionality. A directional coupler includes a main line(11), sub lines(12a-12c), and a ground plane(25). The main line and/or the sub lines are formed in a loop shape with at least one winding. The loop is arranged so that a main component of a vector vertically passing through the loop is horizontal with regard to the ground plane.
