A system for displaying foreign currency/interest rates electronically and automatically is provided to reduce power consumption by turning on an electronic foreign currency/interest rate display device and displaying the foreign currency/interest rates on a business start time, as a relay is turned on/off by an output control signal of a timer embedded with a calendar function. A manager computer inquires and changes the latest foreign currency/interest rates stored in a host computer of a head office. A foreign currency rate server stores foreign currency/interest rate data received from the host computer and transmits the data to each branch computer. A wireless transmitter transmits the foreign currency/interest rate data stored in the branch computer to a foreign currency/interest rate display device(23) in a branch through the wireless network. The foreign currency/interest rate display device includes a controller(200), a receiver(206), a timer(204) transmitting date/time information to the controller by including a calendar function, a battery(205) supplying power to the timer, a PSU(Power Supply Unit)(202), and a relay(203) supplying or cutting off external power supplied to the PSU by an output control signal of the timer. |
