A method for manufacturing a guide rail for an elevator is provided to reduce the production cost and improve the quality thereof by continuously and repeatedly manufacturing the guide rails. In a method for manufacturing a guide rail, a semi-finished rail material(M) is cut to have a length of 5.2m and placed on an alignment plate(10). While the material is passing through left and right correction rollers(20a,20b) of a first correction unit(20), the straightness of the material is corrected. While the material is passing through a short machine(30), the scales on a friction surface of the material are removed. Then, a rolling process and a cutting process are performed on the material. While the material is passing through second left and right correction rollers(60a,60b) of a second correction unit(60), the straightness of the material is again corrected. While the material is passing through up and down correction rollers(70a,70b) of an up and down correction unit(70), the vertical straightness of the material is corrected. Then, the material is cut to have a length of 5m to obtain a guide rail.
