A gasket jointer and a method thereof are provided to effectively grip a gasket and release the grip, without damaging the adhesive surface of the gasket, by providing a head part composed of a fixed head and a mobile head so that a grip for a gasket can be released by the rotation of a mobile head. A gasket jointer comprises a fixing unit, a mounting unit(120), a transporting unit, a cutting unit(140) and a jointing unit(150). The fixing unit fixes a target object for jointing. A bobbin, on which a gasket(G) is wound, is installed at the mounting unit. The transporting unit has a head part(130) which moves with the gasket withdrawn from the bobbin, and conveys the gasket. The cutting unit cuts the gasket at a length corresponding to the target object. The jointing unit adsorbs the gasket, moves up and down together with the cut gasket, and joints the gasket to the target object. The head part consists of a fixed head and a mobile head. The mobile head selectively grips one end of the gasket together with the fixed head, and releases the grip through a rolling motion. |
