An apparatus for opening and closing a window is provided to cast one part of a window into a rack gear without using the rack gear and to prevent the water from being stagnant by forming a draining hole between the rack gear and the rail of the window frame. A space part, formed in the window, is opened toward a rail(21) of a window frame(20). A speed reduction motor(40) is installed in a frame(30). A driving gear(50), rotated by the speed reduction motor, is tooth-geared with the rack gear by a height controlling unit(60). A connecting gear(43), connected with the speed reduction motor, and bevel gears(41,42), is fitted at a center shaft(44). The driving gear is fitted into a variable shaft(51). The height controlling unit has a bolt part(62) connected with the variable shaft. The bolt part is fitted into a supporting pipe connected with a hinge part. The supporting pipe is caught by nuts to limit the moved distance and to closely contact the driving gear with the rack gear. |
