A method and an apparatus for driving display data are provided to reduce the length of a side of a memory by simplifying lines between memory blocks and source driver blocks. An apparatus for driving display data includes an address mapping unit(510), a memory(520), and a data output unit(530). The address mapping unit divides addresses of display data displayed at plural pixels of a display panel into plural first address units and maps the addresses for respective the first address units. The memory stores data corresponding to the mapped addresses. The data output unit outputs the mapped addresses to the display panel.
