<p>A return valve (7) is provided between the catheter (4) and the part (13) protecting the needle, the latter extending through the valve during use. The valve automatically closes when the needle is removed. The insertion device (1) comprises a hollow cylindrical catheter bushing with a catheter attached to its distal end, and a needle bushing (8) with a hollow needle inside. The part protecting the needle is slidably mounted on the needle inside the catheter bushing and includes an engagement section for cooperating with an engagement device close to the tip of the needle (9a) when the needle is retracted from the catheter bushing.</p> |
