A method for restricting viewing of digital broadcasting is provided to restrict the viewing of the digital broadcasting by generating an entitlement management message where security and transmission efficiency is superior in a paid broadcasting conditional access system for the digital broadcasting. A method for restricting viewing of digital broadcasting comprises the following steps of: scrambling the digital broadcasting by using a control word so as only for a subscriber or a subscriber group to view the digital broadcasting; transmitting an entitlement control message, including the control word and view restriction information of the digital broadcasting, to the subscriber or the subscriber group; and transmitting an entitlement management message, including view entitlement information of the digital broadcasting, to the subscriber or the subscriber group.
