A wind volume control damper is provided to rotate an opening/closing plate together with a spur gear part as a handle is rotated by a user, thereby manipulating the opening/closing plate in proportion to rpm of gears to select desired wind intensity easily. A wind volume control damper includes a driving part having a housing, which is penetrated by a fixing shaft of a first gear(1) of a spur gear part. The spur gear part has the first gear, a second gear(2) and a third gear(3) engaged with each other in sequence. A handle(4) is fixed at an upper part of the third gear via a protecting piece(12). A guide piece(6) is fixed to an upper gear shaft of the first gear and coupled with a guide element(8), which moves in an elongated groove(7) of the protecting piece. Bushings are fixed in the housing when the upper shaft and a lower shaft of the first gear are fixed in the housing by bolts. An opening/closing plate(5) is mounted in the housing and welded to the shaft of the first gear for controlling air flow. The opening/closing plate is driven to rotate in response to the rotation of the spur gear part, wherein the guide piece and the elongated groove restrict the rotation angle of the opening/closing plate. |
