<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle-riding type four-wheel traveling vehicle capable of reducing the number of components for a reverse locking device, arranged in a compact manner, and capable of reducing the size, weight and cost of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The saddle-riding type four-wheel traveling vehicle has a forward-reverse switching gear type transmission 11, a change drum 31 for performing the speed change of the gear type transmission 11, and a reverse-lock device 50 for preventing the rotation to the reverse position of the change drum 31. The reverse-lock device 50 comprises a stopper 52 to be integrally rotated with the change drum 31, a reverse lock pin 53 to be engaged/disengaged to/from the stopper 52, and a transmission mechanism for unlocking the reverse lock pin 53. The reverse lock pin 53 is arranged substantially orthogonal to the axial direction of the change drum 31, and movable in the longitudinal direction of the pin between the locking position to be engaged to the stopper 52 and the non-locking position to be disengaged from the stopper 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
