PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device and an information displaying method capable of enhancing the visibility for congestion display of VICS level 3 and traveling track display without complicated operation by a user. SOLUTION: A display controlling unit 24 is provided for controlling a traveling track drawing section 21 in such a manner that traveling track information is not displayed, when the position of a road section indicated by congestion information stored in a VICS information memory 15 and the position of a road section indicated by traveling track information stored in a traveling track memory 18 are substantially the same, thereby preventing the congestion information and the traveling track information from overlapping each other while displayed.
