PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user program editing method which can provide or save adequate information used as an annotation for a user program or the like. SOLUTION: While receiving input of an image or a character string used as the annotation for the edited user program, the input of correspondence relation of display position of the image or the character string and the display position of the content of the user program is received. Then the received input information is saved. Display of the image or the character string and the display of the content of the user program is presented by the predetermined positional relationship based on the saved input information.
