PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefaction preventing structure for efficiently and economically improving soil in an object ground below an existing structure where it is hard to give soil improvement. SOLUTION: The liquefaction preventing structure in Claim 1 is characterized in that a large number of columnar partitions formed of soil improving bodies are formed in the object ground from the object ground to be improved or the ground near the object ground and that the object ground is partitioned by the partitions to provide closed hollow zones in the object ground. The liquefaction preventing structure in Claim 2 is characterized in that the partition is formed of a plurality of continuous soil improving bodies of almost spherical shape formed by the injection method in the liquefaction preventing structure described in the Claim 1. The liquefaction preventing structure in Claim 3 is characterized in that the partition is formed of approximately cylindrical soil improving body formed by a jet agitation method in the liquefaction preventing structure described in the Claim 1.
