PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alginate impression material composition for dentistry obtained by solving problems wherein a long kneading time is required to make the securement of sufficient operation time difficult because the penetration speed of water to the whole powder of the alginate impression material is slow when a kneaded product of the alginate impression material with the water is used, and the kneaded product droops into the depth of the throat by the change with the lapse of time when obtaining the impression. SOLUTION: The alginate impression material composition for the dentistry contains 0.001-1 wt.% of one or more selected from oils and fats consisting essentially of esters of fatty acids with alcohols, waxes consisting essentially of esters of fatty acids with glycerol, and fatty acid esters, and 0.01-10 wt.% of a surfactant, and further contains 0.01-10 wt.% of specific polysaccharides.
