PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which solves the problem that in the cutting of a recording medium, the coating layer of the recording medium having the coating layer is peeled off, a blank section is left at the cut section when the cutting is performed in a frame-less printing, or a recording medium having glue is pasted, and also, can smoothly cut the recording medium at a low cost regardless of the kind such as a thickness of the recording medium. SOLUTION: In a cutter blade, the angle of the cutter blade is changed to the main scanning direction, and the cutting can smoothly be performed regardless of recording mediums. Also, by changing the angle of the cutting blade to the carrying direction, the coating layer can be prevented from peeling off, and the blank section can be prevented from being generated on the frame-less cutting section.
