ILLUMINATING SYSTEM USING OPTICAL GUIDE

An illumination system using an optical guide is provided to manufacture the optical guide for large-sized illumination by extruding arc-shaped optical lighting members through an extrusion mold processed in a longitudinal direction and assembling the optical lighting members in a cylinder shape. An illumination system includes a light source unit and an optical guide(220). The light source unit has a lamp to emit light. The optical guide is optically connected to the light source unit and transmits and distributes the light emitted from the light source unit. The optical guide includes an optical lighting unit(240) having at least one optical lighting member(224) and a frame(226), and a supporting film(222). The optical lighting member has a surface having the shape of a plurality of lines and an arc-shaped surface opposite to the structured surface. The frame couples the optical lighting members in a cylinder shape. The supporting film is arranged outside the optical lighting unit.
