PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily determine whether or not an exercise load is in an exercise load appropriate range for efficiently burning body fat during the exercise of a person or a pet animal. SOLUTION: The fat-burning zone indicating device comprises: an exercise amount correspondence information detection means 2; an exercise load calculation means 4 for calculating the exercise load from exercise amount correspondence information detected by the exercise amount correspondence information detection means; a fat-burning zone judgement means 4 for comparing the exercise load calculated by the exercise load calculation means with prescribed reference lower limit value and reference upper limit value and determining that it is in the exercise load appropriate range for efficiently burning the body fat in the case that the calculated exercise load is equal to or higher than the reference lower limit value and is equal to or lower than the reference upper limit value; and a fat-burning zone display means 6 for displaying that the exercise load is appropriate in the case that the fat-burning zone judgement means determines that it is in the exercise load appropriate range.
