<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO<SB>2</SB>recovery apparatus and method with further enhanced energy efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The CO<SB>2</SB>recovery apparatus has an absorbing column 13 removing CO<SB>2</SB>by bringing CO<SB>2</SB>-containing gas 11 into contact with CO<SB>2</SB>absorbing liquid 12, and a regeneration column 15 regenerating rich solution 14 having absorbed CO<SB>2</SB>by supplying high temperature steam 17 to the solution in a regeneration heater 18, and reuses CO<SB>2</SB>-removed lean solution (regenerated liquid) 16 in the regeneration column 15. The apparatus also has a circulation passage 36 extracting a part 16a of the regenerated lean solution 16, heat-exchanging the extracted lean solution 16 with compression heat generated when compressing CO<SB>2</SB>gas 41 discharged from the column top, and supplying again the heated lean solution 27 to the regeneration column 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
