PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production loss reduction method most effective in specific production loss reduction in addition to management of productivity.

SOLUTION: This production loss reduction device has: a productivity calculation part 5 calculating the productivity on the basis of production data of a production data storage part 4 and given data of a given data storage part 2; a productivity calculation result output part 6 outputting a calculation result of the productivity calculated by the productivity calculation part 5; a production loss reduction result calculation part 8 comparing between the calculation result of the productivity calculated by the productivity calculation part 5 and a productivity reference value stored in the given data storage part 2, and calculating production loss capable of being reduced by the production loss reduction method previously stored in a production loss reduction method storage part 7 when the productivity of the calculation result does not satisfy the productivity reference value; a production loss reduction method output part 9 outputting the production loss reduction method used for the calculation by the production loss reduction result calculation part 8; and a production loss reduction result output part 10 outputting a production loss reduction result calculated by the production loss reduction result calculation part 8.
