<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an edge element included in input image data with high precision and to determine coefficients of weighted sum of an input image and a filtered image in response to the edge element. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with: a parameter determining means for obtaining a parameter to be used for weighting when the input image and an image filtered with respect to the input image are synthesized by using a non-linear function in accordance with information on the edge element detected from the input image; and an image synthesizing means for performing weighted sum to the input image and the filtered image in response to the obtained parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
