PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera in which the photographing operation is prohibited in a photographing mode for recording images for a plurality of frames when the remaining capacity of a recording medium runs short. SOLUTION: In the electronic camera, in the state of setting WB bracketing (negative decision in step S15), when the inequality of N≥n is set up between the number N of remaining frames recordable on a memory card and a parameter (n) on the number of times of bracketing recording, an arithmetic circuit 101 (Fig. 1) permits the photographing operation (affirmative decision in step S17). In the state of setting WB bracketing (negative decision in step S15), when the inequality of N≥n is not set up between the number N of remaining frames and the parameter (n) on the number of times of bracketing recording, the arithmetic circuit 101 prohibits the photographing operation (negative decision in step S17).
