METHOD FOR PREPARING ANTIFUNGAL AGENT AND USE OF THE ANTIFUNGAL AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifungal agent for a rush mat or a straw mat which is inexpensive and exhibits strong antifungal effect, for inhibiting mold substantially originating from Wallemia sebi by using bark of Phyllostachys pubescens as raw material. SOLUTION: The antifungal agent is prepared by extracting stripped and crushed bark of Phyllostachys pubescens in water or aqueous ethanol in a temperature range from normal temperature to 60°C for more than 12 hrs. The product antifungal agent is used in the control of mold originating from Wallemia sebi, forming a colony on the rush mat or straw mat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
