PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, when paper sheets, particularly, bills are not sufficiently separated in a paper sheet separating structure including a picker roller for separating a paper sheet, a feed roller and a reverse roller for discharging the paper sheet to a carrying passage, and a stage for movably loading paper sheets stacked thereon movably within a paper sheet accumulation space formed by a reverse guide and a guide, two or more paper sheets can be delivered at once due to imperfect separation of vertically stacked paper sheets. SOLUTION: A separation roller 16 rotated synchronously with rotation of the picker roller 3 is disposed so as to protrude from the outer circumferential surface of the picker roller 3 toward the paper sheets.
