PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing time of a transfer operation of an article in transferring the article while sharing and supporting it by a pair of article transfer devices, and to execute the transfer operation of the article well. SOLUTION: This article carrying device is structured such that, while an article B is shared and supported by a pair of article transfer devices 12, the transfer operations of the pair of article transfer devices 12 are controlled to transfer the article B between a storing support position and a carrying support position on the stacker crane side; each of the pair of article transfer devices 12 is composed by providing a conveyer device 32 mounting and carrying the article B; and, when it is detected by article tilting state detection means S3 and S4 that the article B is in a tilting attitude tilting in a longitudinal width direction of the storage rack with respect to a proper attitude, the transfer operations of the pair of article transfer devices 12 are controlled such that the attitude of the article B is corrected to the proper attitude.
