PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a so called lever arch mechanism which can prevent a situation wherein it is opened in an unintended form and can avoid also a situation wherein a loose-leaf paper is unfastened and drops out. SOLUTION: The lever arch mechanism comprises a flat substrate, two first ring components fitted solidly onto the substrate and a ring assembly movably fixed onto the substrate and provided with two second ring components, wherein the first ring component and the second ring components form a closed loop when the ring assembly moves, an elastic component having the other end part abutting against the ring assembly, a projection part elongated upward from the substrate, and a lever mechanism which opens and closes the lever arch mechanism by being fitted onto the projection part to move the ring assembly. A locking means for locking the lever mechanism at a fixed position when the lever arch mechanism is closed is further provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
