PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the temperature rise characteristic of a heating element in a thermal head for batch heating used in batch erasure of data, overcoating for transfer to a medium, etc. SOLUTION: The erasure head 50 is equipped with a thin film part 74, a substrate 56 including the heating element 52 and a thermal storage layer 54, and a case 62. The case 62 and the substrate 56 are fixed by a connecting layer 60 interposed therebetween.
