METHOD FOR PREPARING TRANSITION METAL CATALYST, AND CATALYST COMPOSITION LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a catalyst, in which the amount of a transition metal to be used as the catalyst can be reduced in catalystic reaction of a liquid-phase uniform system using the transition metal and which can be carried out industrially advantageously, and to provide a catalyst composition liquid.

SOLUTION: In the method for preparing the catalyst, a compound of the transition metal of group 8-10 and a ligand having a P-O bond is dissolved in diacetoxyl compound-containing liquid produced by a diacetoxylation reaction of conjugated dienes by using a solid catalyst containing the transition metal of group 8-10. The catalyst composition liquid is also provided.
