<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical reproduction device and an optical reproduction method where, upon the reproduction of an optical recording medium in which information is recorded by utilizing holography, particularly, upon the reproduction of a transmission type hologram, the viewing of a light source (back light) itself or an unrequired object such as a transparently viewed image at the backside of a reproduced image is prevented, and an observer can more clearly view the reproduced image. <P>SOLUTION: The optical reproduction device includes: a recording information reproduction means provided with a recording layer recording information by utilizing holography, and where, regarding an optical recording medium in which an interference image is formed by irradiating the recording layer with information light and reference light, the interference image is irradiated with reproduction light same as the reference light, so as to reproduce recording information corresponding to the interference light; and a reproduction light shielding means arranged on an optical path of the reproduction light positioning between the optical source of the reproduction light and the optical recording medium, and also shielding the reproduction light made incident at a specified angle to the optical recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
