<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of appropriately accumulating acquired contents in a storage device even in an environment where the storage device is utilized from an external network terminal, the communication device being configured to acquire contents from a server device and accumulate the contents in the external storage device connected as a peripheral device. <P>SOLUTION: At a content acquisition/recording timing (S640: YES), the present device judges whether a USB device that is a write destination of contents, is occupied by an external network terminal (S650) and if occupied, the present device further judges whether or not a fixed time lapses from a time of final access to the USB device (S710). If the fixed time lapses, a connection of the external network terminal and the USB device is canceled (S730) and the present device is connected to the USB device thereafter (S740).
