<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of preventing image data from being leaked and using a scan device even if users and media have not been authenticated. <P>SOLUTION: A composite machine 1 comprises: an authentication function; an image read section 104 for reading the image of an original; an encoding function for encoding scan data read by the image read section 104; and a USB host controller 114 for transmitting the scan data to the USB memory 2 connected to the composite machine 1.
