<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably detect abnormality for example occurring in recording material or an RFID element suitabily than before. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a conveying control part controlling conveying of recording material provided with the RFID element outputting peculiar identification information by being supplied with power by outside electromagnetic waves and an image forming part forming the image to the recording material. Furthermore, the image forming apparatus includes a reading part installed more upstream than the image forming part in the conveying direction of the recording material and reading the peculiar identification information output from the RFID element provided to the conveyed recording material. In particular, the image forming apparatus includes an abnormality detecting part detecting the abnormality occurring in the recording material or the RFID element according to whether or not the number of pieces of peculiar identification information read by the reading part when the recording material is conveyed is different from a specific number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
