<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for recording control, which simplifies the management for recording information for allowing an externally-connected recording device to perform reserved recording, realizes general-purpose recording reservation, and improves the convenience for users. <P>SOLUTION: The recording control apparatus has: an acquisition means (62) for acquiring device information on externally-connected recording devices (29, 40 and 41); configuration means (17 and 62) for configuring recording information for allowing the recording device to record programs by using own digital broadcasting reception functions; and a control means (62) for making the recording device set the recording information, without having to determine whether the recording device can perform recoding, according to recording information that is requested to be set, based on the device information, when the setting of the date specified recording information is requested with respect to the recording device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
