PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt adjustment device capable of highly precisely adjusting a tilt angle. SOLUTION: In the tilt adjustment device 15, the tilt of an optical pickup 3a is adjusted by deforming a plastic deformation member by an external force. A stress increase part is configured so that the stress generated in the plastic deformation member is increased, by increasing the tilt change of the optical pickup 3. Thus, the plastic deformation member becomes deformed by a large amount, even with respect to a small tilt angle change of the optical pickup 3. Furthermore, an arm part moved for tilt adjustment is made substantially rigid, and the plastic deformation member is arranged so as to lie within a very limited range of the arm part.
