PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a reflective liquid crystal display panel by which an ITO film having the same work function as that of a counter electrode is formed on an electrode without adding a special process. SOLUTION: The method is for manufacturing the display panel of which a liquid crystal layer 116 is disposed between a pixel electrode substrate having a reflective pixel electrode 113 and a counter substrate having a transparent electrode 117, and a conductive thin film giving a smaller difference in the work function from that of the transparent electrode 117 than a difference in the work function between the pixel electrode 113 and the transparent electrode 117 is formed on the surface of the pixel electrode. The method includes steps of: forming a resist on a pixel separation region, which is a region separating pixels, on the surface of the layer to be formed into pixel electrodes; forming a conductive thin film after the resist is formed; and removing the conductive thin film formed on the pixel separation region by a resist lift-off method.
