PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a 3- or 4-substituted and 8- or 9-substituted dithiotricyclo[5.2.1.0<SP>2,6</SP>]decane useful as an epoxy resin curing agent, a raw material for various polymers including engineering plastics and optical materials, a plasticizer, or a vulcanizing agent for rubbers, a crosslinking agent or the like. SOLUTION: The method comprises conducting a reaction between the corresponding 3- or 4-substituted and 8- or 9-substituted dibromotricyclo[5.2.1.0<SP>2,6</SP>]decane and an alkali metal hydrosulfide in the presence of an organic polar solvent at temperatures ranging from 0°C to the boiling point of the solvent to be used.
