PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stacking of paper by suppressing the occurrence of damage to a device and the injury of the user by erroneous control. SOLUTION: This paper loading device comprises a tray 4 for loading the discharged paper thereon, a lever 73 detecting the paper loaded on the tray 4 by making contact portions 73a abut on the paper and moving according to the increase or decrease of the loaded height of the detected paper, a position detection part 75 detecting the movement of the lever 73, and a tray lifting part D lifting the tray 4 according to the detected movement of the lever 73.
