PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper folding device and a paper folding method, capable of folding, even if the foldable size of continuous paper is limited due to a printer structure or the like, and a continuous paper is smaller than the lower limit of a predetermined given range of folding length. SOLUTION: When a continuous paper P with cut lines provided at predetermined intervals, a folding control means controls an oscillation means which oscillates to fold the continuous paper P to successively fold, when the paper size determined by the interval between adjacent cut lines is a size within a preliminarily determined given range, the continuous paper P in this sheet length, and to fold, when the sheet length is less than the lower limit of the given range, the continuous paper P in a folding length integer-times (twice or more) the sheet length.
