An apparatus for automatically sensing gas leakage of a seal pot is provided to prevent gas poisoning of an operator by automatically sensing gas leakage when water sealing of the seal pot is released. An apparatus for automatically sensing gas leakage of a seal pot comprises: a seal pot(10) which is installed at a lower side of a mixed gas distribution pipe(12) for transferring by-product gas of ironworks to a plant using the by-product gas, which is connected to a condensate water discharge pipe(11) connected to the mixed gas distribution pipe, and which has a replenishing water line(15) installed at the other side thereof to replenish water in the seal pot; a gas leakage sensor(21) installed at one side of the seal pot to sense gas leakage during gas leakage as water sealing of the seal pot is released; a gas detecting system(22) connected to the gas leakage sensor to control the gas leakage sensor by recognizing the gas leakage when the gas leakage sensor senses gas leakage; a warning device(26) operated by the gas detecting system to inform that gas is leaked from the seal pot; and a pneumatic actuator valve(24) installed at one side of the replenishing water line to prevent release of water sealing by automatically supplying replenishing water into the seal pot. |
