ARRAY SUBSTRATE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

An array substrate and a display apparatus having the same are provided to enhance the response speed of the display apparatus by precharging pixel electrodes using a common voltage in response to a gate pulse of a previous stage. An array substrate includes plural pixels. Each of the pixels includes gate and data lines, a thin film transistor(T1i), a pixel electrode(PEi), and a precharging unit(T2(i)). The gate line receives a gate pulse during a current stage 1H. The data line(DLj), which is crossly insulated with the gate line, receives a pixel voltage. The thin film transistor, electrically connected to the gate and data lines, outputs the pixel voltage converted polarity for every frame in response to the gate pulse. The pixel electrode, which is connected to the thin film transistor, receives the pixel voltage during 1H. The precharging unit precharges the pixel electrode using a common voltage in response to a gate pulse of a previous stage.
