<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus forming an image of good image quality by suppressing temperature rise in a recording medium ejected from a fixing apparatus and a paper ejecting roller and avoiding a flapping phenomenon in the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: Surface temperature of a lower paper ejecting roller 14 is detected by a temperature sensor 15, an air blowing apparatus 16 is driven, based on the detected surface temperature of the lower paper ejecting roller 14 and the surface temperature of the surface of recording paper P and the lower paper ejecting roller 14 is controlled so as to be lower than a second specified temperature (75°C), in the image forming apparatus. When the temperature of the surface of the recording paper P or the lower paper-ejecting roller 14 is higher than a second specified temperature (75°C) due to a large amount of continuous copying, conveying spacing between the recording paper P is extended from a first specified spacing (for example, 30 mm) to a second specified spacing (for example, 60 mm) in addition to blowing by the air blowing apparatus 16 and the temperature of the surface of the recording paper P and the lower paper ejecting roller 14 are controlled to be lower than the second specified temperature.
