<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily switch imaging operation by a vertical synchronizing signal of different frequency when one imaging element images an object with the vertical synchronizing signal of different frequency. <P>SOLUTION: A horizontal synchronizing signal HD is used in common for reading with a vertical synchronizing signal VD of 60 Hz and reading with a vertical synchronizing signal VD of 48 Hz. For the reading with the vertical synchronizing signal VD of 48 Hz, lines of difference between lines read out with the vertical synchronizing signal VD of 60 Hz and lines read out with the vertical synchronizing signal VD of 48 Hz are not used. The horizontal synchronizing signal is used in common for the vertical synchronizing signals of different frequency, so a clock frequency can be made common and the imaging operation can smoothly be switched. Consequently, it is not necessary to provide a plurality of PLLs, and settings of a PLL need not be changed at each time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
