PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a differential amplifier circuit which is immediately set from an operation stop state to an operating state by a control signal, a voltage regulator using the differential amplifier circuit and an operation control method of the differential amplifier circuit. SOLUTION: The differential amplifier circuit is constituted so as to input, when it is operated by a switching signal SLP, first predetermined bias voltage Vb1 to each gate of an NMOS transistor M7 which forms fixed current source for supplying bias current to a differential amplifying stage and an NMOS transistor M11 which forms a fixed current source for supplying bias current to the next amplifying stage, respectively and when an operation is stopped by the switching signal SLP, to input second predetermined bias voltage Vb2 larger than the first bias voltage Vb1 to each gate of the NMOS transistors M7 and M11, respectively.
