PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber drop cable and an optical fiber indoor cable with which reduction of connecting work time and simplification of operation are made possible in an optical fiber connection method. SOLUTION: The optical fiber drop cable is composed of two linear tension bodies, a coated optical fiber installed between these tension bodies, and a cable sheath enclosing all of them together, and is also provided with one or more cable sheath notches longitudinally along the outer circumference of the cable sheath. On the jacket of the coated optical fiber, a coating notch is formed at least in more than one place in the longitudinal direction. The coating notch is characterized in that it has a dimension tearing the coating of the coated optical fiber with the coating notch as a starting point, when the cable sheath is divided with the cable sheath notch as a starting point.
