PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange an antenna at an appropriate position in a portable terminal having a television broadcast viewing function. SOLUTION: The portable terminal comprises: a first casing 110 having a display unit; a second casing 120 having an operation unit 121; and a hinge section capable of folding the first casing 110 to the second casing 120 while the display unit 111 of the first casing 110 is being directed outside. An antenna 122 for receiving radio waves from a television broadcasting station, a tuner for obtaining a broadcasting signal in a specific channel from radio waves received from the antenna 122, and a television operation unit 123, for example, for selecting a channel received by the tuner are provided on the side of the second casing 120.
