PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially profitably producing a highly pure hydrogenated aromatic carboxylic acid in a high yield, and to provide the hydrogenated aromatic carboxylic acid substantially not containing an aromatic carboxylic acid of raw material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the hydrogenated aromatic carboxylic acid, comprising hydrogenating an aromatic carboxylic acid in the presence of a catalyst, is characterized by satisfying specific conditions.
