PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meander correction device of a web without generating distortion of the web nor forming a crease in correcting a meander amount of the web. SOLUTION: In relation to the web W running on a correction roll 20, this meander correction device is used for correcting meander of the web W by axially moving the correction roll 20; a surface treatment is executed to increase friction force at the central part on the surface of the correction roll, and a surface treatment to reduce a friction coefficient is executed for both ends, whereby variation of tension applied to the web W in meander correction is reduced, and formation of a crease or distortion of the web can be prevented.
