PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient dryer having less noise. SOLUTION: A washing/drying machine 200 comprises a rotary drum 230 for storing the laundry; a warm air channel part 241 for letting the gas flow into the rotary drum 230; a wet air channel part 242 for letting the gas flow out of the rotary drum 230; a high-temperature side heat exchange part 420 for heating the gas flowing through the warm air channel part 241; a low-temperature side heat exchange part 430 for cooling the air flowing through the wet air channel part 242; and a Stirling engine 410 including a heat generating head 411 and a heat absorbing head 412. The high-temperature side heat exchange part 420 performs the heat exchange to heat the gas by the heat generating head 411 of the Stirling engine 410, and the low-temperature side heat exchange part 430 performs the heat exchange to cool the gas by the heat absorbing head 412 of the Stirling engine 410.
