<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a credit information reference technique capable of precisely determining a customer's creditability by eliminating human errors in handling similar information contained in reference results. <P>SOLUTION: A management server (credit information reference server 1) for referring to a credit information provider for a customer's credit information about customer information is used to refer to the credit information provider 3 for credit information based on the customer information. If the credit information found is determined to include similar information, a determination is made as to whether or not the similar information is the credit information of the same person as the customer; if the similar information is determined to be the credit information of the same person as the customer, the credit information provider 3 is referred to for credit information according to the similar information.
