<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the timing of replacing equipment in accordance with the utilization factor of the equipment. <P>SOLUTION: An operation support apparatus 10 stores an accident cost of each equipment in an equipment database 15, and stores utilization factors of the equipment in a utilization schedule database 16. The operation support apparatus 10 receives designation of equipment, and acquires the accident cost and utilization factor corresponding to the designated equipment. The operation support apparatus 10 estimates a physical quantity D<SB>t</SB>at a timing t using a factor depending on the utilization factor, and calculates a density function h(t) of the probability that the estimated physical quantity D<SB>t</SB>will be below a predetermined threshold value D<SB>c</SB>. The operation support apparatus 10 determines and outputs the replacement timing that the sum of a first cost resulting from multiplying the acquired accident cost by h(t) and a second cost resulting from multiplying by h(t) a replacement loss due to the replacement of the equipment at the timing t is minimized within a predetermined period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
