MOVING VECTOR DETECTING DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving vector detecting device which evaluates the reliability of moving vectors uniformly through all blocks even when real time processing is requested.

SOLUTION: A horizontal moving vector determining unit 32 acquires the maximum value in all blocks from the maximum values of first vertical block projection data in vertical blocks vb0 to vb6, and vertical blocks having the maximum value 1/4 or below as large as the maximum value of all the vertical block projection data are considered as invalid blocks. The vertical blocks considered as invalid blocks are not used to determine a horizontal motion vector, whereby the reliability of the horizontal motion vectors is improved.
